Theres been this seagull I’ve noticed for many many moons now, a seagull that didn’t have a name until tonight. This seagull was so memorable because it had a damaged wing and couldn’t fly, so I’ve only ever seen it walking around Whitehaven and it never flew off if anyone came near it, it would just run away
Danny as I’ve come to name it, was sitting on my road upto my flat about 3 days ago, just sitting not moving. I never thought anything of it. Anyhow a few hours later I returned home with some bread for munch and it was still there, so I tore a bit off and threw it over so it could eat but it didn’t take anything Alas I went back upto the flat and then out to work later on. When me and Simon returned later that night though we came home to find it lying dead in the middle of the road where we’d last seen it
And there hes lay for 2 or 3 days, I can’t remember how long. Somebody moved him onto the side of the road so he woudln’t get ran over but hes basically been left there to rot
Now given my past experience with a seagull last week, and knowing this one for so long, I felt pretty bad about just leaving him there. So I took action. I went to Tesco’s to ask the security guard (I know him) for a box to go bury this seagull in. I don’t know whether to be thankful people don’t question my actions anymore or concerned as he happily went and got me a box that had once contained “Tesco Muesli” Oh and I pinched a newspaper from the paper recycling bin to handle Danny
To prove I’m not just making this shit up, theres a video. Its all in there
RIP Danny, this is for not ringing the RSPCA or whatever that bird one is. On the note of seagulls as well
Oh and I’m just going into town briefly to take some pictures of the people queuing for Harry Potter, brb
So I sit here now, its an hour and 10 minutes later and I now own a Harry Potter book, its all Joe’s fault. he found me and then some guy gave us some quality potato wedge and the rest as they say is history
