Guess I finally got around to writing a blog about what I was upto on Montag. I happened across a world record attempt to be held in Trafalgar Square courtesy of the cast of Spamalot. Basically the entire day focused around British comedy. There was a big screen in the middle of the square with a big floating Monty Python foot above. All afternoon clips were played of various comedy shows over the years with the day culminating in a big showing of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, before which there would be this record attempt at the worlds largest coconut orchestra

We were to clap coconuts along to the tune of “Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life” with the aim of beating the yanks turnout of 1769 (I think, I can’t be arsed confirming it

Thankfully, we managed it \o/ We had 5567 present, running out of coconuts so some people had to share in fact

Was a bit gutted there wasn’t much about it on the internets to come home to. Me and Lisa travelled to London, setting off at 8 and getting there for half 1, then travelling home at 11 at night to get back into Whitehaven for 9 to then be back at work for 4 :E But I managed its. Got to keep my coconuts too ^_^

I managed to see myself on a CNN broadcast, well my hat at least. Then I found me on a couple of pictures on this here blog, and I uploaded my video for the rest of the world to see. Multitasking clapping my coconuts while recording

I’m gonna stop typing on this because I’m struggling to type anything coherent and my mam keeps yabbering on and distracting me, think I’ll go eat me a chilli sandwich. Btw it dawned on me I haven’t actually made a video from America yet so I’ll have to try and sort something out when I get a break from things

Oh and me and Simon from work are going to go looking at flats on Friday so we’ll see what comes of that, fingers crossed it goes well and we get the flat we have our eyes on. Looks fairly lush like ^_^

Oop, lesson learnt, don’t try installing an old version of Alcohol 120% on your nice shiny (not so shiny as I’ve realised I spilled tea down it sometime recently) Vista PC. I’ve had to fight with it for the past 2 hours giving me the infamous blue screen of death Albeit its alive now, I had to disconnect my DVD drive to get it to stop doing it while I used system restore to get my computer back alive

All this so I could play the Sims 2

Been on a bit of a game buying binge again recently, need to cut down on it all really :E

• Guitar Hero 2 for the 360: Oh they released it with a knackered whammy bar due to anti-cheat software, the patch fixed it up a treat, until people found out it was bricking their 360′s. Picture courtesy of Jen “rocking out” in her pyjamas
• C&C 3: Tiberium Wars: I just can’t get back into this, I don’t know what it is, I’m sure if i gave it the time it deserves it would actually be alright

Quick round up – Spaced came and I’ve watched all the first series and yet to get onto the second one for laziness, Simon from works lending me the Family Guy series so i can watch them, I’m half way through season 1. My DS can now play Megadrive games (Off the scale of awesomeness, unlike the picture quality, thats in fact Micheal Jackson’s Moonwalker I’m playing) I got a Monkey finally ^_^ Found an animal orgy in a bag in a toy shop. Me and Jen went to Sellafield

Jen forgot to bring her camera, so we got some pictures with my mobile instead. I look like a proper goon in a couple of these but they werne’t meant to go on here, just I never got round totaking any better ones

I’m getting progressively worse on this whole updating this, even though I keep sitting down and thinking “ere that’d be alright to write about”

I’m only putting one picture of my swords up until next week. I’m led to believe Jen’s bringing a flashy camera up with her when shes here in what… 2 sleeps time. By led to believe, I mean she mentioned it a little over 2 weeks ago and I’ve remembered. I actually think shes forgotten though but there we go

My new computay, which I do have some pictures of Its pretty swank like, even if I’ve cursed it by having it come with Vista prematurely. Although my desk is now twice as cluttered as I have nowhere to put my old computay but on top of here beside the monitor, and now my buster sword is in the window Pocoyo and the cow and manga bottle have all had to move onto the desk, so I’m no better off that way

Had a bit of a spending binge on games recently as well:

Company of Heroes to test out my new speakers and putay. Its an alright game, best part so far is zooming right in close and ordering artillery strikes as i move through it. Dolby 7.1 ftw Although commanding a tank with a flail to drive through ranks of enemy soldiers armed with rifles is alright, as well as driving through the ground floor of buildings to make them collapse killing everyone inside

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl because I’ve been waiting years for it. I don’t know whether to be impressed by it or not, its a bit lame considering I’ve been savouring Half Life 2 for long enough now to know that Stalker sucks but theres a part of me that wants to like it. The same part that doesn’t want to mention I was trapped in a room for half an hour last night unaware that I had to shoot that ball of fire that was moving around the room on a predetermined path not doing anything conspicious

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I didn’t think it would look as good as it does on the PC, except for CJ’s nose… I don’t know whats going on there, going for the surfer look I think. On the note of GTA as well, the trailer for 4 was released while I was questing too that I’d forgot about, gotta say its looking fairly swish like, and it now gives me something else to use my Russian accent with

I’ve just bought both series of Spaced on DVD having been watching them this morning on Quick Silver Screen, its recently updated so that its less likely to keep loosing episodes of different shows and me and my brothers been on it for weeks watching Family Guy and American Dad. Oh and I’ve also bought some new thinsg for my DS so I can fiddle with it a bit and make it more useful, shall update this when I know if its worth having or not

Oh and back to games, I’m playing Harvest Moon to death atm having decided I can’t bring myself to keep slating it, it has improved although nobody except the internet told me how I could access the mine to get new ores for my now leet tools. nad nowhere did it mention that throwing weeds onto the floor made all the girls think I was a bastard.
